:: NEWS ::

I was completely thrilled that "Hearts on Fire" won an Honourable Mention in the NSAI/CMT song contest last month. This is very encouraging. There are only about 50 prizewinners in all, out of many, many entries.
I've been really busy with the oral history project for Craigdarroch Castle. We've been interviewing lots of interesting people and archiving a pretty wonderful vintage photo collection.

In my spare time I've been tinkering with a couple of new song ideas. I'm going to do a new demo over the summer so that I'll have something to take to Nashville for Song Camp 102 in September. Can't wait!

I've rearranged my Gallery and added some new stuff.
Also check out the new Link of the Month.

What I've been reading...

Harvest for hope : a guide to mindful eating: Jane Goodall ; with Gary McAvoy and Gail Hudson
Be nice to your neighbourhood farmers; we've got to keep them in business...

No time : stress and the crisis of modern life: Heather Menzies
If you've ever wondered why you feel completely exhausted all the time, this will help.
Everything you wanted to know about your adrenal glands but were afraid to ask.

Books waiting to be opened...

The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire / Edward Gibbon
OK, so it's a cheap abridged paperback, but it's mine and I don't have to renew it in order to get through it this summer.
I'm hoping it will give me some insight into the patterns we're seeing today and where we might be heading.

Current Day Job:
I'm working on my second oral history project for Craigdarroch Castle, a national historic site in Victoria, BC.
