I drew the inspiration for this song from a news story about Terry Barton,
a woman who accidentally set fire to many thousands of acres of Colorado wilderness in 2002.

It's taken about three years of writing, critiquing, workshopping and rewriting to get it
to where it is today. It's been deconstructed by some of the finest hit songwriters
on Music Row, and now I think... it's finally... finished!
